For over a year, this couple could be seen strutting around our garden, leaving us to wonder they weren’t having any progeny. Perhaps the presence of larger birds like pea fowl and eagles was the reason.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed their presence as much as they seemed to enjoy the safety of our company as we worked in the garden.

Yesterday, to our pleasant surprise, we spotted a couple of tiny, hyperactive balls of feather, trailing along with their parents. Here is to hoping that these adorable little ones will survive and grow to form a beautiful little flock soon!
